Badminton England wanted to update their lesson programme for 5-11 year olds to deliver a dynamic and engaging brand experience better tailored to the age group in order to maximise the impact of what could be a child’s first contact with the sport.
Working with Robin Whyler, we designed a logo and identity, and together with animator Alex Potts, developed a group of characters to represent different key aspects and skills of badminton. These needed to appeal to potential players at each end of, what is effectively a fairly broad age range.
We delivered a brand styleguide, containing templates, graphic elements and character poses to be used for print and on-line for both teaching and promotional purposes.
Following that, we produced a set of opening titles for video tutorials and on-screen promo spots.
