With its bold visual style, cinematic landscapes, action and humour, Samurai Jack has compelling appeal for both kids and adults. For the shows' launch on Cartoon Network in the UK, marketing activities were aimed both at kids and also young adult influencers who would appreciate the cult status of the show and spread the word.
Launched at a themed PR evening event at London's Grand Central bar decked out with imposing large format posters to reflect the distinctive style and atmosphere of the show, invited guests left with a limited edition Samurai Jack T-shirt - which became a Promax UK runner-up.
For the younger audience, a pair of collectible postcards were produced, featuring action from the opening sequence.
For the B2B market a promotional premium of a pair of branded chopsticks with attached fly was sent out, as a fun 'catch the fly' game designed to help you practice your martial arts focus.
