Peppa's Club was planned to be the Global Tentpole theme for 2022, based around a four part special in the latest season of Peppa Pig, featuring a new communal playhouse at the playground. A toy set was to be made of the playhouse and the badge and key art which would set the scene, needed to reflect core themes of friendship and inclusion.
The visual perspective used in the show, while synonymous with Peppa, is quite restrictive and the Creative Director was keen to try for something different and more dynamic for the key art.
Like many jobs of this nature, working several months in advance, there was also the additional challenge of the finished key art and badge being required before the animation was completed or the toy design itself had been finalised.
Badge variations were also produced for subsequent retail capsules included under the Peppa's Club umbrella.
